men-apists!

I feel angry
I feel frustrated
I feel ashamed
I feel responsible in a way

Where is our country headed to?

Why are women treated like this?

Why are women critisized for what they wear and that it provokes these barbarians?

Why are the conversations around a rape focussed on the victim rather than the perpetrators?

Why are victims afraid of police than the offenders? Why do police tend to bend towards the rich and the powerful than to those who need help and justice?

Why do these men see women as meat?
Is it because the low life thinks he can do whatever he wants and get away with it since women will be ashamed to speak of it publicly?
From where do these men have the guts to do this?

Why do people compare these fricking low lifes to animals? Which animals rape as much as humans do?

What do these savages think before doing such horrible things?
What runs in their mind?

Is it because of him being inferior?
Is it because of jealousy?
Is it because of the way he was raised?
Is it because of how his mind was developed during childhood?
Could it be the the society which resulted in his character?

or

Is it because of the flawed law system?
Is it because of the powerful politicans?
Is it because of the so called leaders are also criminals?
Is it because of the money hungry police?
Is it because of the corrupt, bribe driven government?

Parents rape their kids, grandparents rape their grandkids, husbands rape their wifes, what next? People will eat each other soon!

There are thousand more stories which are more horrifying than this and it does not make the headlines..
There are thousand more unheard stories which stays inside the victims, that they cant bury in their minds..
Just like anyother "major" problem so far, this story will be forgotten too soon enough too?

It is a shame on all of us, or is it the way to live?
We call this an uncivilized world deep within, may be we are heading to a deeper shit than this and probably this is just the road towards it!

How do we change it?
What is the solution?

We will have to list down the problems, slice and dice it one at a time to have a meaningful solution than pointing everything at the corrupt government/people..
If we want a change we have to make it.. We are just too lazy/afraid/lack courage/lethargic and we choose the easy way of pointing someone else for the problem which we have to console ourselves that nothing will change!

The solution lies outside the law, in the mindset of the people..

I accept that this post has no meaning to proposing a solution and its just a rant. Could not keep it within myself after reading the below stories,

my sweet girl

she is as sweet as a chocolate,
her beautiful skin color says it all..

her eyes are like the sparkling coral beauty,
and her eyebrows like a perfect bow..

gorgeous doesn't even explain her,
so amazing and she don't even know..

she accepts me as i am,
i can relax and just be me..

i'm always thinking about her,
she is the only one on my mind..

and how can i ever be cruel and break her heart,
i'll never be able to live with myself if i do..

a woman whom i can connect,
and who has given me more than i expect..

together, forever, i long to be,
the only one for me..

the time when she started loving me was the time my life started to have a meaning,

i know i have an angel,
she was sent from heaven above..

i hold her in my heart,
i miss her much,
to the moon and the stars..

and this feeling will go on,
until she is safe in my arms..

i know that we will be together sooner or later,
how i hope that the time and day will pass faster,
so that I'll be with her and hug her tight,
and never let go with all my might..

`coz I really miss her now, miss her more..

10 things to learn from Japan post the Tsunami.

10 things to learn from Japan post the Tsunami.

1. THE CALM

Not a single visual of chest-beating or wild grief. Sorrow itself has been elevated.

2. THE DIGNITY

Disciplined queues for water and groceries. Not a rough word or a crude gesture.

3. THE ABILITY

The incredible architects, for instance. Buildings swayed but didn't fall.

4. THE GRACE

People bought only what they needed for the present, so everybody could get something.

5. THE ORDER

No looting in shops. No honking and no overtaking on the roads. Just understanding.

6. THE SACRIFICE

Fifty workers stayed back to pump sea water in the N-reactors. How will they ever be repaid?

7. THE TENDERNESS

Restaurants cut prices. An unguarded ATM is left alone. The strong cared for the weak.

8. THE TRAINING

The old and the children, everyone knew exactly what to do. And they did just that.

9. THE MEDIA

They showed magnificent restraint in the bulletins. No silly reporters. Only calm reportage.

10. THE CONSCIENCE

When the power went off in a store, people put things back on the shelves and left quietly.

Amazing, but true and that's what makes Japan the nation which it is today. It's a matter of time before they rebuild and are back to normal. The losses have been huge but the way they have conducted themselves is indeed amazing. To me that's Character! We have always heard to people with character but rarely have we seen an entire nation displaying it as one team. When things are going right every single action looks good but when the chips are down to display the fighting spirit with dignity is true character and that's where most fail.

When I was watching television every single day after the incident, I was amazed at the way they were going about things and when I compare it to the chaos we create for every small thing its frightening to even imagine something like this ever happening in our part of the world and the outcome of it is scary and unimaginable.

There is a learning for all of us in our daily lives inside and outside office. The way we conduct ourselves in times of pressure or not so comfortable a situation would decide our true character. I sincerely wish that god gives us the strength that when we are faced with such a situation ever in life we face it the way the Japanese did ...our head held high and our character becomes our greatest strength.

Why Indians don't give back to society & Why don't we worship Brahma?

(Content worth sharing, got it from my friend)

Why Indians don't give back to society & Why don't we worship Brahma?

Some characteristics unite Indians. The most visible is our opportunism.

Why don't we worship Brahma ? We know he's part of the Hindu trinity as the creator, but we worship Vishnu, manager of the cosmos, and Shiva, its eventual destroyer. The answer lies not in religion, but in culture. But in what way does our religion shape our culture?
Weber explained the success of capitalism in the US, Germany and Britain as coming from their populations Protestant faith. This ethic, or culture, was missing from the Catholic populations of South America, Italy and Spain. Protestants, Weber said, extended Christianity's message of doing good deeds, to doing work well. Industry and enterprise had an ultimate motive: public good. That explains the philanthropists of the US, from John D. Rockefeller to Andrew Carnegie to Bill Gates.
What explains the behavior of Indians? What explains the anarchy of our cities? To find out, we must ask how our behavior is different. Some characteristics unite Indians. The most visible is our opportunism. One good way to judge a society is to see it in motion. On the road, we observe the opportunism in the behavior of the Indian driver. Where traffic halts on one side of the road in India, motorists will encroach the oncoming side because there is space available there. If that leads to both sides being blocked, that is fine, as long as we maintain our advantage over people behind us or next to us. This is because the other man cannot be trusted to stay in his place.
The Indians instinct is to jump the traffic light if he is convinced that the signal is not policed. If he gets flagged down by the police, his instinct is to bolt. In an accident, his instinct is to flee. Fatal motoring cases in India are a grim record of how the driver ran over people and drove away.
We show the pattern of what is called a Hobbesian society: one in which there is low trust between people. This instinct of me-versus-the- world leads to irrational behavior, demonstrated when Indians board flights. We form a mob at the entrance, and as the flight is announced, scramble for the plane even though all tickets are numbered. Airlines modify their boarding announcements for Indians taking international flights.
Our opportunism necessarily means that we do not understand collective good. Indians will litter if they are not policed. Someone else will always pick up the rubbish we throw. Thailand's toilets are used by as many people as India's toilets are, but they are likely to be not just clean but spotless. This is because that's how the users leave them, not the cleaners.
The Indians reluctance to embrace collective good hurts his state. A study of income-tax compliance between 1965 and 1993 in India (Elsevier Science/Das- Gupta, Lahiri and Mookherjee) concluded that declining assessment intensity had a significant negative effect on compliance, while traditional enforcement tools (searches, penalties and prosecution activity) had only a limited effect on Indians. The authors puzzled over the fact that India's income tax performance (was) below the average of countries with similar GDP per capita.
We do not think stealing from the state is a bad thing, and our ambiguity extends to corruption, which also we do not view in absolute terms. Political parties in India understand this and corruption is not an issue in Indian politics. Politicians who are demonstrably corrupt, recorded on camera taking a bribe or saying appalling things, or convicted by a court, can hold legitimate hope of a comeback unthinkable in the West.
The opportunist is necessarily good at adapting, and that explains the success of Indians abroad. We can follow someone else's rules well, even if we can't enforce them at home ourselves. The Indian in the US is peerless at the Spelling Bee because the formula of committing things to memory, which in India passes for knowledge, comes naturally to him. But this talent for adapting and memorizing is not the same as a talent for creation.
The question is: Why are we opportunists?
In his great work Crowds and Power, Elias Canetti observed that the rewards religions promised their faithful were all far off, in the afterlife. This is because a short goal would demand demonstration from god and create skeptics instead of believers. There is an exception to this in Hinduism. Hinduism is not about the other world. There is no after life in Hinduism and rebirth is always on earth. The goal is to be released entirely and our death rites and beliefs -- funeral in Kashi -- seek freedom from rebirth.
Christianity and Islam are about how to enter heaven; Hinduism is about how not to return to earth, because it's a rotten place. Naipaul opens his finest novel with the words The world is what it is, and Wittgenstein (The world is all that is the case) opens his Tractatus similarly.
Hinduism recognizes that the world is irredeemable: It is what it is. Perhaps this is where the Hindu gets his world view -- which is zero-sum -- from. We might say that he takes the pessimistic view of society and of his fellow man. But why?
The Hindu devotees relationship with god is transactional: I give you this, you give me that. God must be petitioned and placated to swing the universes blessings towards you. God gives you something not through the miracle, and this is what makes Hinduism different, but by swinging that something away from someone else. This is the primary lesson of the Vedic fire sacrifice. There is no benefit to one without loss to another. Religion is about bending gods influence towards you through pleas, and appeasement, through offerings.
Society has no role in your advancement and there is no reason to give back to it (in any way, including leaving the toilets clean behind you) because it hasn't given you anything in the first place. That is why Indian industrialists are not philanthropists. Rockefeller always gave a tenth of his earnings to the Church, and then donated hundreds of millions, fighting hookworm and educating black women. Bill Gates gave $25 billion (around Rs1.2 trillion), and his cause is fighting malaria, which does not even affect Americans. Warren Buffett gave away $30 billion, almost his entire fortune. Andrew Carnegie built 2,500 libraries. Dhirubhai Ambani International School has annual fees starting at Rs. 47,50,000 (with a Rs 24,00,000 admission fee) and Mukesh Ambanis daughter was made head girl.
An interesting thing to know is this: Has our culture shaped our faith or has our faith shaped our culture? I cannot say. To return to the question we started with: Why is Brahma not worshipped? The answer is obvious: He has nothing to offer us. What he could do for us, create the universe, he already has. There is no gain in petitioning him now.

life partner and bikes

i need to find a girl like you my dear bike

i know when you feel uncomfortable above 120 and i try to take you above that but i feel like i have to reduce my speed since u dont like it and i do that for you so that u dont dump me on the road

i know when you feel scared in a corner and i will take you with an ease

i know when i see a huge stone on the highway and i feel i am gonna fall, u comfort me by saying, believe me i am there i wont let you down and we both ride over the stone and u keep me safe

i am scared at times to take a blind corner and u feel uncomfortable too but finally we both do it and we both are happy that we did it

we blip at the car/truck riding in front of us saying we are coming thru and give us way, and they give us way, some think they wont let us pass, but we do it saying you are wrong, i am passing thru and give me way and they end up giving us the way finally

i try to keep you happy with all i can do with new engine oil, tyres, sprocket and fix you up when you feel bad

when i am in a sad state that i cant think straight and u look at me and say, come on lets go for a ride and all will be fine after that, which worked all the time

sometimes you indicate me that you are out of fuel and i feel like pushing you begging, listen there are no fuel pumps in eyesight stay with me and you always were with me till i found a fuel pump

sometimes i show you that this is my style of taking the corner and you do it

sometimes u teach me that this is what i am, when u want to brake, u will have to break at the perfect time else i am gonna slip and i have learnt it the hard way!

sometimes u feel sick that you will hesitate to start, i take an off from work to fix you up

sometimes i feel like ripping you apart and that will make me to get my senses and you never compained and always stayed with me

i am sure there are better bikes than you on the market, but i love you and i am happy with you and will never look ahead of you, i know you will stay with me forever!

i depend on you and u depend on me and we cant live our lifes without eachother..

i feel like home whenever i sit on you and u always gave me that comfort.

u never ditched on me, u were there whenever i needed u

i dont know if i am selfish, but you are mine and i am yours!

will i ever find a girl like you!

one day ride to kaas plateau

Ride to kaas Plateau, Satara.

Mumbai-->Pune-->Satara-->Kaas-->Satara-->Pune-->Mumbai

Total 620 kms

Log by darth

Riders:
Me,Razorblades,Winzee,Ambidexterous and pulsarider and ChiragV(Till lonavala).

We had decide to meetup very early in the morning.
Had called up everyone 5:00 am and everyone was awake before.Good so there would be no late comers.Started early and reched powai at 5:45.
Winzee was already there.Five minutes later ambidexterous calls up and informs he would be little late as he has lost his keys.Meanwhile Razorblades shows up and we were joined a while later by ChiragV.
Ambidexterous shows up after 10 minute.A round of introduction later we are all set to ride.

Half a kilometer into the ride I slam my brakes.Front disk locks and bike starts fishtailing like crazy and I go skidding into the gravel. My brake settings are incorrect since its straight out of a mechanics place.Good I realised it on a small road then on a highway.Fell downPick up my bike mostly by myself, ambidexetous giving me a hand.Though I have done it often picking up bike at almost 6:00 in morning with me half alsleep and the sudden jerk I gave caused me a sprain in the back and I had to ride with a hurting back for rest of the day

Met up vaibhav at 6:15 ish at center one in Vashi and I adjusted my brakes while rest of the gang was chit chatting.Filled up near dattas while rest of gang had sutta etc.
Sunday morning so there were tons of bikers there.Spotted a R1 flying past on the road and Gopi and Winzee said they spotted a face inside the helmet and it seemed like a chic was riding it
Rode to RKs in lonavala and stopped there for breakfast.......

From left to right:
Pulsarider(Vaibhav),ChiragV,Gopi(Razorblades),Winz ee,Ambidexetous

Dehu Road to satara:
Alrite so finished all this yummy idli-vada sambar and rode to dehu road and from there to sataraWell there isnt
much to write abt this except we rode slow at times..add to it there was some traffic.
Took a couple of stops in between. We finally stopped abt 40 kms from satara where
we met a uncle riding his pulsar from mumbai. He showed us his new seat and expalined that difference is like a seat in volvo bus and ordinary bus
Met another local and we inquired abt our destination
Local:What is there in kass?
Us:flowers
Local:Flowers are all gone.If you want to see flowers you should go to himalayas
Local:You should see badrinath, kedarnath there(maybe wanted to say I have been there)and there are flowers at one place.
Us:Tell us the directions to kass and we will check out
Local gives directions

Bad attitude locals in central and south India have at times. Why the fck was he marketing himalayas when we
had come to his home town?
Just a flashback to my hampi ride I can recollect the cop who we bumped into bang outside the ruins asking me and Navin ,
"What have you come to see here?"."What have you come to visit here????This place ofcourse".
Indian youngsters visiting "Hampi ruins" didnt seem convincing reason.
You should learn a thing or two from people in Rajasthan :P

Call up roamer and learn that he has already reached satara and are planning to leave for Kas.

Reach satara and take old pune satara highway and I was sweeping following ambidexterous and others rode ahead
in the traffic and we got split.Called up Vaibhav and informed that we were waiting at Rajawadi chowk.Well we waited
this guys didnt show up.Suddenly glances on across the chowk and spotted them.Apparently some thulli(Lady thulla) was
speaking to the guys.I crossed the street and joined them.
Razor and Winzee were quite and apparently had no clue of ongoings or what they were charged for(i am sure they still hav no clue)
,with vaibhav and me the only person who understood marathi

I dont see any one way or dividers.
Apparently for a city where all the bikers were helmetless, three people ride on one bike, these guys were being charged
for riding on the wrong side of the lane.Well there was no divider either...... Apparenly a street lamp serves as a
divider and anyone who exits the road on the wrong side of the lamp is fined for riding on the wrong side.

Vaibhav's pocket got a lighter by 100 bucks and the righteous cop stopped us and asked us to collect
the reciept(Must be a fake one)

It was getting late(Must be 1:30 or something)We then rode to Kass which was only 25 kilometers now

'the secret levitation lessons' that we practiced :P

Motorcycle Touring

loved the below article

v. toured, touring, tours
v. intr.
1. To travel from place to place, especially for pleasure.
2. To travel among various places while fulfilling engagements.

Are paagal ho gaye ho kya? (Are you mad?)

Jana hai toh car main yaan bus se jao! Motorcycle pe risk bahut hai. (if you have to go, then go by car or bus! Motorcycle is too risky.)

These are just few of the replies that you get when you mention that want to tour on a motorcycle.

After all a car/bus/train is much more comfortable, you are protected from the elements and at the end of journey you are less tired than you would have been if you had done the same on a motorcycle. These are much safer and at the same time you need not be on a constant state of alert if you are taking a taxi/bus/train.

Then why would any one want to go on a motorcycle, only to reach the destination dirty and tired?

In motorcycle touring, not only the destination matters but also the time spent traveling. Your vacation starts the moment you sit on your bike and start the engine.

It might not be as comfortable or fast as other tools of travel, but then again it?s not a tool! It?s not just a mean to reach your destination; your bike is your constant companion. A cup of tea/coffee will never taste better than the one you will have on small road side tea stall on a cold foggy morning. Even a simple parantha at a road side Dhaba will seem more delicious than an extravagant buffet at a five star hotel, after hours of riding in hills.

You will only need one tour on a motorcycle to get addicted to it for the rest of your life. A day?s journey on a motorcycle will teach more about the world than a month long journey in train. You won?t be locked up in a cage with a small window to look at the wonders of nature. In the morning sun will come out to greet you, while the constant wind will give you a hug reminding you that you are one with the nature. The whole world is your play ground, with new things to discover, new challenges to meet, places to go where very few have gone before.

When you come back from a trip like this and talk to your friends about the things you have seen, places you have visited, there will be a sense of amazement in their eyes. Even though they would have been to the same destination as you, they would have never felt that you were able to feel. They can only dream of doing the same in a metal cage with a view from the window as their outlook to the world.

This, my friend, is the wonderful world of motorcycle touring.

A world where destination is just an excuse for the trip.

A world where less used village roads are preferred to super smooth national highways.

A world where strangers greet you as a long lost friend because both of you choose to tour on motorcycle.

A world where when you get off from your motorcycle suffering from acute mountain sickness and then one look back at the highest road in the world and you instantly make a promise to yourself to do the same road again.

A world where you choose the direction to travel rather than a destination!

Around the himalayas in 21 days! (DAY3)

DAY3

sports tracker link,

Day3 Kishangarh - Delhi

Woke up a little late because of that darn unknown local made A.C! Finally saddled up at 8:30am fueled up in the first visible petrol pump and winzee was crying to get his oil changed since we have covered 1200 kms so far!

cant see any sign of castrol oil anywhere and only mak was avilable and he was not comfortable with it. so we started riding ahead. 50 kms or something, rachit suddenly stopped on the road and he was pointing to the wild camels

wild camels in the sense not fondled by our human race kinda camels. without giving time to the camel to runaway we rode near them very slowly.

those two were romancing and i went in like the villan in hindi films.

i am pretty sure the male camel might have cursed me inside his heart since the female ran away getting scared at me all fully geared up, who would not get scared?

after the refreshing peace in my mind (took a wild animal's photo ) came back to the ride drank some water and we were zipping across the highway. awesome roads.

winzee desperately wanted to change his oil and we promised him Jaipur, but after reaching there we learnt that the highway does not go inside Jaipur. we promised him to stop at the first shop to have castrol sign board.

we did stop at a lot of shops with Castrol in it!, and all were truck oils.. finally found a castrol bike zone and got his oil replaced and we oiled our chains!

Had a good breakfast+lunch.. lotsa omlette, bread and gallons of water. the wierd thing is that i drank around 5 liters of water and did not pee a single time! it was that hot! no liquids in the body! total dehydration! it was fun though!

after riding in the hot sun for a long time finally we found a tree! and bike automatically started going under it for the shade.

we found this interesting unknown bird there. can anyone recogonize it?

its mate got stuck in the ground and got injured in its wings i guess. it was not able to fly!

I was trying to help it to get out of that junk.. meanwhile the one on the tree thought i am going to hurt his mate, declared a state of war by shouting aloud and started to pilot against me.. whoa four close encounters to my face.. it was inches away.

i got scared at the noise it made and i finally gave up on the rescue plan. this is when i pointed a new celebrity the sparrow..,

had some garam chai in the scorching heat (prasad's idea) and we zoomed off..

got a call from delhi xbhpian's that they will meet us once we reach Delhi. we felt very warm inside our hearts! told them that we will be in Delhi around 4:30 to 5:00pm and bid 'good bye till then' and we were on the roads.

roads were butter smooth and we kept on riding! it was around 3:30pm and all were exhausted. stopped at a small dhaba, where we had the best nimbu paani ever! it was 40 bucks for one though!

there was this huge dog there and after seeing us came and sat at the center of the room where we were sitting.

friendly disturbance! he never woke up though!

when we were about to start got a call from dcs and gave me the phone no. of abisheik. before i could save the no. abisheik called asking me weather we have booked any hotel rooms and if not how much was our budget?

he told us to call him once we reach the big Gurgaon-Delhi flyover. entered Gurgaon and reached the flyover at last. Darn it was HUGE Felt like the capital of India.

Contacted Abhishek and he told us to take two flyovers and wait before the third one.. we crossed two and was riding long to find the third one

finally found a huge metro bridge and decided to stop.

We were all looking forward to meet the Delhi xBhp'ians who we never interacted with before. we have just seen their names in few threads and that is it.

Abisheik told us to stay where we are and he will come find us, since i was unable to give him the exact location of ours.

a long distant scream of an rx100 and we all were excited! Abisheik and Shivanshu arrived! God we were feeling good to meet them. someone to speak to in an unknown place.

and the big surprise came.. they said they have booked us a decent hotel room and they will take us there.. can anyone wish for more from a unknown stranger! now it felt really good to be a biker!

thanked the lord and started riding with them. later Kamal also joined.

The traffic was totally chaotic.. people ride in all kinds of directions.. we were literally escorted by Abisheik, Shivanshu and Kamal. they made sure that no one on the road touches us since we were having big saddle bags..

they made sure none of get missed in the traffic.. you must be know how hard it is to do in Delhi

we stopped in front of that hanuman statue at karol bagh entrance for a chit-chat..

from Left to right: Me, Rachit, Abisheik, Kamal, Winzee and Shivanshu.

I was a little embarrassed to get this much help from Delhi guys. I mean we never had met them before, infact never spoke to them before, never even knew that they were in our club!

just because we share the same interest 'biking' they are with us today. there are no words to explain how i felt. without them we would have been totally blind and lost in the big Delhi city.

Thanks a lot guys.

finally lodged into our hotel.. the hotel was awesome.. it had a big double bed, a big tv, a mini bar, couch, tea table and stuff.. all for 1500 and that too for two days in karol bagh!

kamal said he might have found a better hotel if we could have told him a little earlier! and these guys have applied half a day leave in their offices just to meet us.

I was like whoa! Guys like these do exist! Is there anything more to help us! we were very lucky to meet them!

finally they bid us good night.. they were strangers to us no more.. felt like we knew them for years!

we wanted to explore karol bagh.. took bath and we were roaming around the streets of Delhi listening to 'yeh Dilli he meri yaar' from Delhi 6.

and what BIG kulfi's they have there! yummy!

then we were hunting for monk but in vain.. not in delhi too settled for RC. Got a call from Maveric who came from Gurgaon to see us!

I rushed to the hotel and what a cool guy he was.. we were chatting about our trips `n` bikes `n` delhi `n` mumbai `n` the roads ........

the others came with loads of tandoori chicken and food!

Maveric bid us good bye and we feasted on the chicken. later zzzzzzz with the minimum possible a/c temp!
